Apollo Lunar Module modified flight type toggle switch removed from equipment by NASA.
Regular LM switch had a shaft with no knob until close to flight date, when a wedge-shaped plastic knob was attached. The wedge-shaped knob has been replaced by NASA with a knob from a military lever-lock switch.
Switch operation is momentary in up and down positions.
Possibly used in a trainer where the feel of a flight switch would be desireable.
This item came from the Charles Bell estate. Bell was a NASA employee at the Kennedy Space Center and a lifelong collector of space
artifacts.
