Shock absorbing damper for the armrests of the Commander and Lunar Module Pilot.
Since the LM had no seats, the astronauts were restrained by cables attached to their space suits. They were supported by their feet resting on the cabin floor, and by the armrests.
Two dampers were used in each armrest.

This item came from the Charles Bell estate. Bell was a NASA employee at the Kennedy Space Center and a lifelong collector of space artifacts.
